Palliatives:Anambra Central Senatorial District Is Lucky“- Ekwolo

A representative of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security,
Engineer Samuel Ekwolo, has extolled the virtues of the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District Chief Victor Umeh.

Ekwolo gave the testimonial to Umeh, when the Senator distributed over 124 metric tons of rice to his constituents on Thursday at St Andrew’s Catholic Church, Adazi Nnukwu, in the Anaocha Local Government Area of the state.

who was on the ground to monitor the exercise affirmed that no money was given to anybody for the project.

He extolled Senator Umeh’s level of sincerity, honesty and transparency in the execution of the project and noted that the project was in full compliance with the Federal Government’s directive.

In addition,Ekwolo noted that though he was not from Anambra Central, the people of Anambra Central Senatorial District were lucky to have Senator Victor Umeh as their Senator.

Our correspondent learnt that some senators had not been able to get the palliatives for their constituencies because of the stringent processes involved in accessing the palliatives.

On his part, the State Chairman of the Labour Party, Chief Ugochukwu Emeh commended Senator Victor Umeh for his proactive performance in the Senate, noting that LP members were proud having him elected on the platform of the party.

He maintained that Senator Victor Umeh had not only represented Anambra Central well in the past six months of his being in the Senate but had also been very generous in touching many people’s lives positively.

Among the many notable persons that attended the event were: the Traditional Prime/Regent of Adazi-Nnukwu (Odu), Chief Kanu Ugwumba, the Parish Priest of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church Adazi-Nnukwu, Rev. Fr. Anthony Anike, the representative of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Engr. Samuel Ekwolo, representatives of the 109 Wards in Anambra Central as well as women groups within the Senatorial district.
